Topping up credits
How to buy additional topup credits when your monthly allocation is running low.
If your monthly credit allocation is running low or exhausted, you can buy topup credits at any time. Topup credits do not expire and sit on top of your monthly allocation.
Steps
-
Open Billing from the sidebar. You need Owner or Admin role to access the Billing page.
-
Find your current credit balance at the top of the page. The balance shows your remaining monthly allocation and any topup credits separately.
-
Click Buy credits (or the equivalent button on the credit balance card).
-
Select the number of credits you want to purchase.
-
Confirm the purchase. You will be prompted to confirm the charge to your card on file.
-
The topup credits are added to your account immediately after payment.
How topup credits work
Topup credits accumulate. You can buy them multiple times and they add together. They never expire, regardless of how long you hold them.
When you use credits, your monthly allocation is always consumed first. Topup credits are only drawn down once the monthly allocation reaches zero. If your allocation resets at the start of a new billing period while you still have topup credits, the topup balance is unchanged; the new monthly allocation is used first again.
When to upgrade instead
If you consistently exhaust your monthly allocation before the renewal date, topping up each time costs more than simply upgrading to a plan with a higher allocation. Use the Subscription tiers page to compare allocations, and see Upgrading your plan for how to change your plan.
Credit usage history
To see where your credits have gone, open the Billing page and look at the Credit Usage view in the Billing History section. This shows a breakdown by enrichment type and company, with a running balance, so you can see exactly when your monthly allocation was exhausted and which actions consumed topup credits.
